The attorneys of Gerbers Law, S.C. have represented individuals and businesses in all of Northeastern Wisconsin. This section contains a few of the recent cases our attorneys have successfully resolved for our clients.

Assisted a party that loaned money to a borrower to purchase a business. The borrower failed to make timely payments, therefore, Gerbers Law, S.C. assisted with a foreclosure action. This prompted the purchase of the business by a different buyer, which allowed our client to obtain monies previously owed to them by the initial borrower.

Gerbers Law, S.C. represented a client who was being sued for a breach of a non-solicitation clause in her contract. The contract also contained a liquidated damages clause of $75,000 and for payment of attorneys fees to the former employer (at least $100,000 in exposure).
Gerbers Law, S.C. made a counterclaim for tortious interference with a contract and replevin of her client lists. After hearing the evidence put forth by the former employer and reviewing briefs and motions on the subject, the judge ruled that the non-solicitation clause was unconscionable on seven different dispositive grounds. The jury awarded our client $50,000 in damages caused by the former employer, as well as the return of her client lists.
- Gerbers Law, S.C. represented a party regarding an international real estate transaction in which a foreign company wished to purchase property in Wisconsin for $2.2million and then backed out at the last minute. The judge ordered that the foreign company perform the contract and imposed a penalty until fulfilled.
- Represented investors and assisted in obtaining and negotiating financing for the purchase of the ThedaCare Medical Center in the Fox Valley.
- Assisted local investors in the sale of the Lakeland College Building, which houses Lakeland College as well as the offices of Associated Bank, to a Minneapolis-based private equity group.
- Served as local counsel for a Chicago developer who purchased the building located at 1200 Hansen Road, which houses the corporate offices of Associated Bank.
- C.H. Robinson, a national trucking company, has joined Merrill Lynch as a tenant in the office building located at 480 Pilgrim Way in Ashwaubenon. The office building is part of a $40 million dollar development along the Fox River. The C.H. Robinson lease was drafted on behalf of Ashwaubenon Boardwalk, LLC, the developer/landlord, by its counsel, Gerbers Law Offices, S.C.
- The developers of the AshPark Shopping Center in Ashwaubenon recently sold property adjacent to the Bay Park Square Mall to an investment group. This property will be the future home of an Ashley Furniture store. The AshPark developers were represented in the transaction by Gerbers Law Offices, S.C.
- Gerbers Law Offices, S.C., assisted a group of local investors in their acquisition of Utility Tool & Trailer, Inc., a defense contracting firm which builds trailers for use by the United States military. Attorney Gerbers negotiated and prepared the purchase documents and associated contracts for this multi-million dollar transaction.
